Born on February 17, 1956, in Whitman, Massachusetts, Robert was the beloved son of Robert and Lorraine Brides. Robert, affectionately known as Bob to his friends and family, dedicated many years of his professional life as a manager at Banner Nursery. His green thumb and passion for gardening transformed the nursery into a thriving community where his expertise and warm demeanor welcomed customers and friends alike. His commitment to his work and his community left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Above all, Robert was a devoted father to his two children, Chris Brides and Kellie Denson and a cherished Papa to all his grandchildren. His love and dedication to his family were unwavering, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Robert’s nurturing spirit extended beyond his family, to his friends and neighbors. He was always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge of life. Robert’s hobbies reflected his deep connection to nature and his love of creating beauty in the world with his love for plants and landscape design. He had a deep appreciation for eclectic artwork, being near the ocean, hiking and playing cards. He also found pleasure in cooking and sharing this passion with others.
Known for his quiet demeanor, Robert was a person of few words, but deep thought, empathy, and wisdom. Robert’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity. He taught those around him the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the simple joys of life. He treasured his annual trips to New England at Christmas spending time with family. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, brother, sister, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Robert is survived by his children, Chris Brides, wife Natalie and Kellie Denson, husband Jesse; his sister, Pam Kelly; his brother, Tommy Brides; and his grandchildren Cameron, Dakota, Carson, Nova, Alex, Joshua, and Connor. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lynne Brides and his sister, Karen Brides.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you plant a tree in his memory.
