Marvin Benton

Jack was born October 8, 1953, son of the late Roy Alexander Benton and the late Beulah Williams Benton. He was proceeded in death by one brother John Wayne Benton. He graduated from Piedmont High School in 1971 and retired from Vanguard Supreme in Monroe.

Jack is survived by his wife of 35 years Sandra Baker Benton (Sandy); his sons Jimmy Michael Benton and wife Rochelle and Phillip Jackson Benton and wife Katie; two daughters, Jennifer and Chandra; his seven grandchildren, Amy, Jamie, Landon, Emma, Kayden, Jackson, and Rosie; his sisters, Carolyn Hicks, Vicki Carter, and Pam Pressley and his brothers, Roy Alexander Benton Jr. and wife Valerie, Dennis Benton, Doug Benton and wife Pam and Michael Ray Benton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 3:00pm until 4:00pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Jack's life will begin at 4:00pm. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.
