Judy W Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell was a resident of Jefferson, South Carolina after retiring from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She dedicated over twenty-five years to working with children in schools as a cafeteria manager, and she was well-known for her cinnamon rolls at Elizabeth Traditional Elementary School, which were always a welcome sight for children and adults alike. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and vacationing at Edisto Island, SC.

She is survived by her son, Robert Mitchell of York SC, and daughter, Jessica Harvell of Albemarle NC. She has two grandchildren, Patrick Harvell and Taylor Ballew. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Judy also has four surviving siblings: Kaye Penegar of Jefferson, SC; Kathy Turner of Albemarle, NC; Barbara Klutz of Marshville, NC; and Fran Scevers of Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her late husband, Chuck Mitchell of Charlotte NC, and her sister Bonnie Gardner of Bennettsville, SC.

A service to celebrate Judy's life will be held 2:00pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. The family will receive friends following the service.
