Joe L. Kiker

Rev. Joe Lee Kiker, age 82, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on April 12, 2018. He was born in Union County on September 5, 1935. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Easter Simpson; his step-father, JV Simpson and his brother, Buford Simpson.

Rev. Kiker is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Iris Kiker; his sons, Randy Kiker (Karen) and Charles Kiker (Linda); his daughters, Debra Smith and Vickie Ring; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Parker (Dustin), Amanda Langston (Matt), Randy Kiker Jr. (Victoria), Becky Honeycutt (Charlie), Ryan Kiker (Christina), Cassidy Ring, Emilee Ring and Jackson Smith; ten great-grandchildren, Kaylie Parker, Kenzie Parker, Graiden Parker, Ben Gerber, Allison Langston, Joseph Kiker, Benjamin Kiker, Addallee Langston, Carson Honeycutt and one baby boy Kiker on the way; his brothers, Raeford Simpson (Diane), Jake Kiker (Gail) and his sister-in-law, Linda Simpson.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate Rev. Kiker's life will begin 2:00pm Monday, April 16, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel with interment to follow in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
