He was born on August 15, 1974, to Jerry and Barbara Rochester Howell. Jody graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1993. He was the former co-owner of H & H Expedite in Monroe, North Carolina and later worked for Haviland Drainage Products, Haviland, OH as a diesel mechanic. One of Jody’s favorite loves and hobbies was being an avid collector of model trains.
Jody is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Thomas Howell; paternal grandparents, Thedduce and Hallie Pope Howell; and maternal grandparents, Nicholas Rochester, Sr. and Nancy Rowell McClain. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Rochester Howell; sons, Jacob Daniel Howell and Jordan Gabriel Howell; siblings, Genia Schaffer (Ron), Jamie Howell, and Amanda DeCicco (Anthony); nephews, Darren Howell and Daniel Schaffer (Stephanie); nieces, Amy Phillips, Beverly Schaffer (Mike Baucom), Brittany Hutsling (David), and Thalia DeCicco; as well as 17 great nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Midway Baptist Church, located at 4615 Olive Branch Rd., Wingate, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate Jody’s life will be held following the visitation at 12:15 pm with burial immediately following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park.
