Born on October 21, 1956, Jerry was a High School graduate from East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had many hobbies and interests in his life including watching old television shows, going on walks in the park, listening to Rock n Roll music, and going to car shows with his caregiver, Lester Hildebran. He especially enjoyed riding in trucks and drinking his favorite beverage, Diet Mt. Dew.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome H. Starnes and Vera E. Starnes. He is survived by his brother, Edward Starnes (Michelle) of Matthews, North Carolina; and nieces, Christina Starnes of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Amanda Starnes of Matthews, North Carolina.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at Lakeland Memorial Park, located at 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina.
