Jackie was born May 12th,1932 in Kannapolis, NC, the daughter of the late Clifford and Lillian Joines. Jackie worked in the sewing mills in Kannapolis and became the wife of the late Rev. James A. “Bud” Rogers Sr. They moved to Union County in 1968 and she became well known throughout the county as the voice of gospel music with her famous 10,000 Angels version.
