Born on October 1, 1969 Dennis was a lifelong Union County native. He was a graduate of DeVry University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as a sales manager for James River Equipment in Monroe, North Carolina. Dennis was also a member of Dales Wheels of Time Museum as well as an APA and BCA enthusiast. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Indian Trail, North Carolina and especially loved his family and enjoyed spending time and making precious memories together with them.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Jerome Black; and mother, Bonnie Stilwell (Hathcock). He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Black; children, Dennis J. Black and Nathan Black; stepfather and stepmother, Mitchel and Shirley Stilwell; stepsister, Michelle Helms; nephew, Trystan Helms; and stepdaughters, Amanda Benton and Amber Munson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Sardis Baptist Church, located at 3602 Unionville Indian Trail Road W., Indian Trail, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held following the visitation at 2:15 pm with Pastor Kenn Hucks officiating. Burial will then follow immediately after the service at the church cemetery.
The family request that no suits or formal wear are required and to please come as you are.
