He was born June 22, 1963 in Union County, a son of the late Roland and Shirley Ghant.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Wrenn. Chris is survived by his sisters, Terry Watkins (Marty) and Pat Earley (Terry); brothers, Tommy Ghant and Bobby Ghant (Gina); nieces and nephews, Jolie Mitchell (Jeremy), Jessica Williams, Graham Wrenn, Matt Earley (Christalynn), Sarah Earley Frymire (Dan), Erin Ghant, and Matt Ghant.
Funeral services will be at 2:15 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, 204 South Main Street, Monroe, NC 28112 with the Rev. Marty Watkins officiating. Burial will then follow in the Wingate City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
