Bobby Neal Simpson

He was born November 23, 1933 to the late Jason Marshall Simpson and Mary Privett Simpson Threatt of Monroe in Union County. Bobby served in the US Army Signal Corp from 1953 until 1955. He was a Korean War veteran and very active as a member of the American Legion Post 440 in New Salem. Bobby was a retired employee of Alltel Windstream Phone Company.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Simpson Baucom. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rebecca Hathcock Simpson; children, Keff Simpson and his wife Angie; Kara Ivey and her husband Mark and Ethan Simpson. Grand-children, Stacy Simpson Moss & husband Tyler, Cassie Poplin Little & husband Phil, Sammy Simpson, Charli Poplin Moore & husband John Mark, Zachary Simson, and Will Ivey. Great-grandchildren, Chase Simpson, Kaden Moss, Levi Little, Naomi Little, Tayla Simpson, Leigha Simpson, Lincoln Moore, McKinley Moore and Watson Moore; one great-great-grandchild, Salem Simpson and his beloved dog, Callie.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
