William Carbone passed away on April 1 at 88 years old at Paradigm of Prospect Healthcare facility. He is survived by his beloved wife Catherine of almost 68 years, a daughter Karen Carbone, a son Frank Carbone, a granddaughter, Dana Vadnais and her husband David, 2 great-grandchildren Cameron and Lily and a sister Anita Pierini. He was a Navy veteran and later worked at Avco-Lycoming where he retired
after thirty years. Upon his retirement he and his wife moved to Florida where they enjoyed living for twenty four years before returning to Connecticut seven years ago .He was an avid ping pong and pool player, winning many trophies for pool while living in Florida. He will be greatly missed. A wake will be held on April 6 at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home located at 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe between 10:00 am and 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11am, the burial will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Trumbull.
