William Cleveland Singelton - an 84 year-old native of Quincy, Florida and resident of Mobile passed away at his home on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Mr. Singleton was a veteran of the Merchant Marines whose service spanned a period from World War II to the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, farm, and tell stories. He was preceded in death by is wife, Viola Singleton, and step-son, Dale Havens. He is survived by two sons, Billy Singleton (Rhea) and Anton Singleton (Yvonne); brothers, Carlton Singleton (Virginia) and Curtis Singleton; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour.
