Virgie Phillips Reed

She was a graduate of Baker High School 1953. She had a great love for her family and friends. She loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Most importantly, she was a faithful follower of Christ; she was a member of the Westlake Church formerly known as Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Mack H. Reed; two grandchildren Rufus Michael Reed, Rebecca Diane Reed; her parents Burns Phillips and Mary McKinney Phillips; brothers Marion “Taylor Phillips”, Burns “Buddy” Phillips Jr., Walter Phillips Sr., and sister Elizabeth Phillips Carpenter.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her children Carol Jean Ramirez (Bob); Linda Maxine Sparks (Dan); Rufus Dwight Reed (Micha); Mack Dwayne Reed (Lesa), Evelyn Virgie Chaudron (Trey); her grandchildren Robert Michael Ramirez, Ariel Katherine Ramirez, Heather Renee O’Quin Brown (Jeb), Chase McLee Sparks (Brittany), Cordell Gaston Reed, Patrick Wayne Reed, Savannah Reed Wharton (Ryan), Victoria Ruth De Castro (Joao), Zeno Blaize Chaudron, Calleigh Faye Chaudron; two brothers James Leonard Phillips (Bonnie), Lee Wright Phillips (Bertha) and many greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday August 12, 2023, from 9:00am to 11:00am at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.
