Terra Bazzel Forwood

Born January 31, 1959, Terra was a lifelong resident of Mobile, graduating from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Computer Science. She married her long-time love, Mike Forwood, and they had four children. Terra was a devoted and supportive wife and mother, spending many years volunteering at school, church, and the ball field. She enjoyed working with children and served on several Diocesan Committees to improve Christian Education for youth.

Terra had an incredible passion for life and shared that love with those around her, embracing every moment. She faced life with unwavering determination, bringing laughter and joy, comfort and support to those around her.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Michael Forwood, Jr. (Mike), her parents, William (Billy) Eugene Bazzel and Glenda Blake Bazzel, and her infant sister, Brenda Gay Bazzel.

Terra will be lovingly remembered by her sons: George Michael Forwood, III (Angela), Christopher William Forwood, Austin Blake Forwood (Sarah), and Patrick Jordan Forwood (Ebie); grandchildren: Elodie, Samuel, Elijah, Jonah, Wilson, Sally, and two soon to be born grandchildren; sister: Kimberly Bazzel Ryland (Earl); and many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. There will be a private interment at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the

American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
