Sue Jean "Susie" Cazalas Mason

Sue Jean “Susie” Cazalas Mason – a 71 year-old native and resident of Mobile passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. Mrs. Mason worked as a volunteer at Providence Hospital and was an avid bowler. She was a beautiful woman who loved people and animals. Mrs. Mason was also a Gold Star Mother.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph E. Cazalas, Jr. and Juanita Noel Cazalas; son, CPL Christopher Edward Mason, US Army paratrooper; and sisters, Beverly Watts and Lana Fay Bacchus. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Garland Mason, Jr.; son, Garland Mason, III (Myah); grandchildren, Ben Mason (Leah) and Leah Mason; sisters, Linda Russell, Betty Ann Platt, and Elizabeth Harvey (Lester); brother, Jeff Cazalas (Ingrid); other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
