Stanley John Rolland

Stanley John Rolland – beloved husband, father, and grandfather, 87 year-old native of New Orleans, and a resident of Theodore passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. Mr. Rolland, a veteran of the U.S. navy, served in the Atlantic Theater during World War II. He retired from Pitney Bowes as a regional manager after 33 years of service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4888. Of utmost importance in his life were his love for God, his Savior, and his family followed closely by his love for golf. Mr. Rolland was preceded in death by his parents, George Joseph Rolland and Esther Joy Ludwig Rolland; son, Stanley John Rolland, Jr.; and brother, George Joseph Rolland, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Rae Ann Richards Rolland; children, Donna Puhr (Ron), Jean Klaus (Bill), and Brenda Holben; sister, Joy Rolland Babin; eight grandchildren, Christopher Puhr, Elizabeth Puhr (Shannon Broadway), Kevin Puhr (Jenni), Ryan Puhr, Jamie Podraza (Brad), Jessica Brouillard (Brian), Jason Holben and Tyler Holben; great-grandchildren, Avery, Luke, Sydney, and Mae Anna; other relatives and friends. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O Box 190219, Mobile, AL 36619.
