She was preceded in death by her parents, Dossie and Alice Peevy, her husband of over 63 years, James S. Phillips, son, James Terry Phillips and brother, Dossie Peevy, Jr. Sarah is survived by her five children; Sherry (Robert) Byrd, daughter-in-law, Peggy Phillips, Tony (Brenda) Phillips, Tracy Phillips, Michael (Debra) Phillips, Wendy Leigh Shepherd, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, special brother-in –law, Henry Phillips, and a special niece, Penny Orr, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014, from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
