Ronald Duane Dyson Sr.

Ronald Duane "Ronnie" Dyson, Sr., was born on February 4, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away on September 3, 2021. He is preceded in death by his daughter Annette and parents Oscar and Carolyn Dyson. He is survived by his loving wife Chrissie,sons Ron (Meredith) and Adam (Taylor) and three grandchildren, Alden, Aslinn and Arya Dyson. He is also survived by his three brothers and their families, Earl, Mike and Randy Dyson.

The second oldest of four boys, Ronnie was both mentally and physically tough, from an early age, It was during middle school at Sidney Phillips that Ronnie fell in love with music and discovered a talent for the drums. His appreciation for live music would eventually land him as a drummer in various local bands while developing friendships that would last a lifetime.In 1965, Ronnie graduated from Murphy High School and while attending the University of South Alabama he was a founding member of the SAE Fraternity. On a blind date, he met the woman with which he would spend the rest of his life Chrissie. The couple married and focused on building their forever home on Rabbit Creek where they lived with their two sons.

In 1984, Ronnie would take over the family business, Dyson Plumbing and manage it alongside his younger brother, Randy Dyson. A firm believer, Ronnie also understood the importance of enjoying life. His mind was at ease and his heart full whenever he was on the water. Ronnie became an avid saltwater fisherman (Bull redfish being his favorite catch), a licensed boat captain he would share his fishing knowledge with anyone that asked for it. He was also a member of two mystic societies. Ronnie was a Christian man of great faith and believed in leading by example. He was a charter member of the Mobile Christian Business Men's Connection (CBMC), an organization that shares gospel throughout the Mobile business community. As a result of his magnetic personality, ability to listen and make others feel at ease, Ronnie would inspire and help many members of the CBMC. As Ronnie grew older so did his optimism and gratitude for many blessings in his life, which including his 3 grandchildren. Affectionately names "Grandpa Mustache"' he serves as a role model for what it means to put others first. We are all fortunate and blessed to have had Ronnie with us on Earth for 74 years.

Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama The family will receive vaccinated friends and family at the family home on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. . They will also receive friends at the home on Saturday following the graveside interment for a celebration of Ronnie's life.
