Patricia Ann "Pat" Moore, 90, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Waynesboro, MS, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sept. 14, 2024. She was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Houston, TX, and was adopted several days later by her parents Grace Null Davis and Dudley Davis.
Pat married Thomas Calvin Moore of Houston Texas on May 14, 1955. Tom was a registered petroleum engineer, and during their 53-year marriage his job took them all over the southeast from Houston, TX to New Orleans Louisiana, Pensacola, Florida and later, to retirement in Waynesboro, MS where Tom raised cattle and Pat was active in her church.
Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, MS for over 15 years where she sang in the choir and served as Bible Drill Leader. Pat was a faithful servant of Christ and passed on a legacy of faith to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the employees of Waltonwood Providence for their care and concern, and to Mom’s two special caregivers, Carolyn and Kelly, who both loved her and took such great care of her for the last 18 months, and for Lisa, Mom’s hospice nurse. It takes a special kind of nurse to do hospice care, and Lisa went above and beyond the call of duty, was always there when we needed her and was such a huge blessing to our family.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calvin Moore and her sister, Barbara Jean Dailey.
She is survived by her children, Donna Nazary (Michael) of Big Canoe, Ga., Carol Evans (Phillip) of Indian Trail, NC., and Thomas C. Moore, Jr., of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Ben Evans, Sarah Moore, Nichole Sullivan, and Jason Nazary; and great-grandchildren- Jacob Sullivan, Kirsten Sullivan, Loreli Sullivan, Phoebe Evans, Lillian Evans, and Oliver Nazary.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
"But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Sept. 28, 2024 at Serenity Gardens in Waynesboro, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Graceway Baptist Church Building Fund, 4700 Weddington Rd., Matthews, NC. 28104. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
