Meredeth Frances Teel, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on July 15, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born on October 15, 1938, in San Diego, CA.
Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lantz Teel, her father Edward Meredith Dawsey, her mother Rose-Marie Winckel Dawsey, and her sister Carolyn Dawsey.
She is survived by her children: Peter Lantz Teel (Sandra Knudsen), Thomas Edward Teel, and Rose-Marie Teel Waters (Richard Waters). Frances was a cherished grandmother to Alicia Goings (Glynn), Kathleen Bounds (Brandon), Grace Cavazos (Andres), Rebecca Moore (Jalil), Paige Teel, Hudson Teel, Shepherd Teel, Adrienne Teel, Jeremiah Teel, Justin Teel, Amber Hemmingway (Brad), and Lantz Waters (Haleigh). She was also a beloved great-grandmother to Riley Bounds, Avery Bounds, Major Hemmingway, Mackenzie Hemmingway, Cooper Waters, Ellianna Moore, and Zoe Cavazos.
Frances was a dedicated member of Riverside Church of the Nazarene for 29 years, where she served in various capacities and touched the lives of many in the congregation. Her faith in Jesus was central to her life, and she demonstrated her love for God and others through her involvement in church activities and her compassionate spirit.
Frances will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Frances's life will be held at Riverside Church of the Nazarene, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and support one another in this time of loss.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Riverside Church of the Nazarene in memory of Frances.
Frances will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of faith and love will endure in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
A visitation for Meredeth will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Riverside church of the Nazarene, 2313 Riverside Dr, Mobile, AL 36605, a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by burial at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
