Margaret G. Johnson Gavin Gibson

Margaret Gavin Johnson Gibson, a native of Tuskegee, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur James Johnson and S.E. Gibson and her son, Arthur James Johnson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Johnson Stanton; daughter-in-law, Patricia McKinney Johnson; four grandchildren, Leslie Helen (Jeff) Stanton-Halley, Melissa Johnson (Woody) Krueger, James Randall (Michael) Johnson, Amanda Johnson (David) Rahm; four stepdaughters, Nancy Gibson (Fred) Brock, Gail Gibson, Janet Gibson (Duane) Heishman, Pamela Gibson (Wendell) Womack; five step-grandchildren, Cindy Brock (Bruce) Duhe, Jennifer Brock (Rich) Ross, Christy Guest (Felicia) Stewart, Wendi Womack (Chris) Culver, Taylor Womack; several great-grandchildren, and her niece Patricia Gavin (Roy) Bedgood. She was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and she was retired from Gayfer's Department Store after twenty-two years of service. Visitation will be on Friday evening December 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 in the evening at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 in the morning. Internment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
