Linda Howell Kennedy when to be The Lord on December 26th at the age of 77 in Cullman, AL. She was born on June 29,1945 in Biloxi, Ms. She attended Dukate Elementary and graduated from Biloxi High School. She was voted a favorite at Perkinston Junior College and went on to work for the test site in Bay Saint Lewis, Ms. Here, she met and married Jimmy Kennedy. Together they moved to Mobile and had 5 daughters. Linda was involved with volunteering at the girl’s elementary schools and teaching Sunday School as well as Vacation Bible School at Kingswood United Methodist Church. When her oldest reached high school, she continued her volunteer work with the PTA, making cheerleader uniforms, and coached the girls’ softball team. She was an avid reader, tennis player, bowler and Garden Club member. Later in life, she went to work with her family at Kennedy Industrial Supply. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Amel and Irene Howell, brothers Stephen and Donnie Howell, sister Emelda Howell, daughters Karen Kennedy and Kris K. Price and their father James Edward Kennedy. Linda is survived by her daughters: Laura K. Braswell (John) their two sons John Thomas and Kennedy Braswell of Auburn, AL., Donna Kennedy and her son James Ellis Kennedy, both of Spanish Fort, Al. and Katheryn Bullard (Darryl) of Cullman, Alabama, two grandsons, Drew and Luke Price of Roanoke, VA, one brother Walter Howell (Ann) of Clinton, MS and one sister Patricia Howell Breslin (Richard) of Biloxi.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile on Thursday, December 30th starting with visitation at 12pm followed by a celebration of life service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road.
