Kenneth Allen Salter Sr.

Kenny raced cars for Ford and Chrysler. He set many records and won many titles during his career. Kenny was a business owner in Mobile, Alabama for forty years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Alabama Alumni Association Scholarship Club, and the Red Elephant Club of Mobile. Kenny was a member of Springhill Lodge Number 896, Scottish Rite, and a member of the ABBA Temple Shrine. He attended Christ United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Sue Salter; two sons, Ken (Veronica) Salter and David (Jevon) Salter; five granddaughters, Emily Alexandra Salter, Emma Reese Salter, Anna Patton Salter, Maria Sofia Salter, and Natalie Olivia Salter; siblings, Doris Miniard of Summerdale, Alabama, Betty Brown and Dale Peake – both of Pensacola, Florida – and Donald Salter of Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church or the University of Alabama.
