Jessie Jean Simpson Montgomery

Jessie Jean Simpson Montgomery, age 90, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Monday January 1, 2018. Jessie was born November 28, 1927 in Eldridge, Alabama to Julia Norris Simpson and Granville W Simpson.

Jessie is survived by her husband of 71 years, James T Montgomery, Sr.; son, James (Jamie) Montgomery, Jr.; daughter, Donna (Bill) Newell; sister, Richmond Simpson Guthrie; very special friend, JoAnn Brown; grandchildren, Abi Stokely, Colby Berryhill, Tevin Montgomery, Nathan Montgomery, BriAnna Montgomery, Christopher Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, William Adams, Clint Adams, Jeffrey Chambliss, Corey Chambliss, Ron Rogers, and Kari Newell; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Granville W Simpson and Julia Norris Simpson; and two daughters, Cathy Howard and Judy Adams.

A visitation for Jessie will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. A funeral service will occur Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, 8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, Alabama 36613.
