Hercilia "Hershie" Herrera Grow

Hercilia ("Hershie") Herrera Grow, age 90, a native of Colon Panama, died peacefully Monday, December 12, 2022. Hershie, born April 1, 1932, was preceded in death by her sisters Lydia Grumberg and Thelma Herrera, and by her parents Raul and Hercilia Herrera.

She is survived by her sister, Vilma Salas; her daughters, Karla Grow Kennedy (Scott), Angela Grow Locklier (John), Carole Grow Heggeman (Scott); her sons John Grow (Annette) Winston Raul Grow (Aleen); ten grandchildren, Ross Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Lauren Locklier, Caleb Locklier, Gus Grow, Elsa Grow, Caroline Heggeman, Ben Heggeman, John Claiborne Momberger and Carson Momberger.

Hershie was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic Girls School in Colon, Panama, and was a longtime resident of Mobile. She worked in the field offices for the Alabama ABC Board in Mobile for over 25 years. She was a parishioner of several Catholic parishes, including Little Flower and St. Dominic's. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

A visitation for Hershie be held Friday, December 23 from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1453 Old Shell Rd., Mobile, AL 36604, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM, and graveside service at Pinecrest Cemetery West, 1599 Snow Rd.
