Glenda Taylor was born August 5, 1941, in Lepanto, Arkansas to the late Johnnie and Audrey Tolbert and was called home August 22, 2021, in Eight Mile, AL. She attended Vigor High School in Mobile, AL, and retired from Waltech after 20 years. Glenda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as she cherished them both. She was a member of Kushla Bethany Baptist Church in Eight Mile, AL, a member of the Red Hat Society, active in her group of friends called the “Sweet Magnolia's", loved traveling, and watching Alabama football.
Glenda was preceded in death by her two parents; and husband, Charles T. Taylor, Sr. Left to cherish her wonderful memories are her two brothers, Carl Tolbert (Marie) and Michael Tolbert (Debbie); her beloved two sons, Charles (Chuck) T. Taylor Jr (Diana) and Daryl T. Taylor (Karen); seven grandchildren: Miranda L. Taylor (Tyler), Tristan T. Taylor, Kristen P. Berger (Justin), Kamryn B. Taylor, Kayley F. Taylor, Kathleen L. Kryger (Eric), and Kara M. Kryger; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia R. Taylor; along with extended family members and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Glenda F. Taylor to St. Jude - Make a donation to end childhood cancer - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
Weather permitting, visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
