Bettie was born on December 13, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, PA to parents, Ernest and Eva Keller. It was in her last years of school at Hanover High School that she met the love of her life, John Robert Warner. As the story goes, John looked down on Bettie from the balcony of the auditorium one day, and whispered to his best friend, Harry, that he “would marry that girl one day.” And so, he did. On January 20, 1944, John and Bettie married. Shortly thereafter, John left for war in the Philippines, and Bettie herself joined the war effort on the home front, as she worked helping to manufacture oil filters in a local factory. In March of 1952, Bettie gave birth to their only son, Barry. They had a beautiful and full life together, seventy-one years in all.
Bettie was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter, Dyanne Dulmes and brother, William Keller Sr. She is survived by son, Barry Allen [Evelyn] Warner; son in law, Jeffrey Dulmes; grandchildren, Chrissie [Chris] Sells, David [Dana] Warner, Lizzie [David] Nix, and Danielle [Mikey] McGallagher; great grandchildren, Jack, Maddox, Abraham, Atticus, Henry, Augustine, Alexander, and Connor; nieces, Shirley Noles and Marilyn Moyer; nephews, William Keller Jr. and Dirk Dunlap; and dear friend, Kay Shivell.
She was beautiful, deep down to her soul.
A private family gathering will be held in January.
