I have always thought of Edna as the most beautiful and precious sweet person the one thing that you could always expect to see when you greeted her was that huge smile I don’t know what her life was like when she was away from people, but when she was in the room there was a smile and joy and happiness and it was always always such a wonderful moment to be in her company she will be greatly missed

She was an awesome woman. She always treated us like her own children.  She was a true blessing. Prayers for her family.

I have known her for a long time but I wasn’t close to her until about six months ago she is the most precious lady you will ever meet and funny yes lord funny I’m going to miss her so much Ms Edna I love you .Beth simmons

I remember your mom, such a sweet soul! Alway positive and upbeat! Mama (Linda Smith) thought a lot of her as well! We both send our deepest sympathies. We will not be able to make the service. My kids are in town for thanksgivings and I have to take them to the airport on Friday. Mama’s car is in the shop. We are keeping all of y’all in our prayers! 🙏

My sweet cousin Edna was such a loving person. She always made you feel loved and at home. Always making sure you had something to eat. She gave the best hugs. Her smile could warm the coldest hearts. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.  Her cousin Annette.

Mrs. Edna was one of the nicest and sweetest person you will ever meet. She never meet a stranger and always treated you like family. Mrs. Edna ran the concession stand at Tanner Williams park for many years with her family and she would always pick me up and set me in the counter and let me help her and give me all candy and food I wanted. Her sweet smile would lite up a room. She was my daughter’s Sunday School Teacher. My daughter would always say Mrs. Edna is so sweet. She will be greatly missed by her family and the Tanner Williams Community. We will see you again. Love always

Edna is survived by her children, Timothy “Timmy” Montgomery (Marie), Tina Rider (Eugene), Tracy Hosfelt (Mark), Troy Montgomery, Trent Montgomery (Ashley); 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren;siblings, Thomas David Young, Dona Young Hinton, stepson, Ray Scroggins, Jr. (Tabetha); 2 step grandchildren also, survived by nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Scroggins; and by her first husband Ronald Wayne Montgomery, parents, Laura Mae Horton Young and Earl Thomas Young; a granddaughter, Amberly Noel Montgomery; step grandson, Caleb Scroggins.
