Doris Jones

Doris Jones – A native of Clarksville, TN, a former resident of Enterprise, AL and a resident of Mobile for the past ten years, died Saturday, October 29, 2011, in a local hospital. Mrs. Jones moved to Mobile to be near her daughter, and to lovingly help raise her granddaughters, Maria and Laura. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Bill “Willie” Darnell; and her husband, Donald Lee Jones. Survivors include her children, Sharon (Bruce) Singer, Wayne (Nancy) Jackson and Connie Vais; sister, Betty Sue Sadler; brothers, Bobby Darnell and Jimmy Darnell; grandchildren, Donald Jason Singer, Robert Jackson, Scotty Wayne Jackson, Pam Dill, Amy Jurisin, Tammy Jackson, Maria Vais, and Laura Vais; great-grandchildren, Demi Singer, Matthew Singer and Zackary Jurisin; her best friend, Ursela Larsen; other relatives, and many dear young people who called her “Granny”. Visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL at a later date.
