Mr. Cecil Lee Nettles, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away June 5, 2014, at the age of 93. Born on December 12, 1920, in Tunnel Springs, Alabama to George Z. and Jennie Bell Nettles and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Nettles was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, had a lifetime career in the automobile industry, was an antique car owner and enthusiast and was full of life and love for his family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Wilma Lucille Biggs Nettles, son, Felix Lee Nettles, three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Nettles is survived by three children, Jean Stine of Monroeville, AL, Sarah (Ronald) Griffin of Citronelle, Al and Anthony O. “Tony” Nettles of Mobile, AL and brother Allen Ray (Fay) Nettles of Monroeville, Al. He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren, Kevin (Kristen) Stine, Leigh Ann Nettles, Karla (Rusty) Patterson, Kerry (Chad) Chandler, Felix Lee Nettles, Jr., R. Scott Griffin, Natalie S. Nettles and Mark A. Nettles, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild that he was fortunate to enjoy in life and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, Al. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel.
