Cecil Grace Easley Dennis (Sissie) of Mobile went to be with her Lord on September 16, 2018. After nearly 93 years, she left an immeasurable legacy that endures through her greatest treasures: her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Sissie graduated from Murphy High School in 1942 and met her husband, Dan, in 1944 while working at Merchants National Bank. Dan and Sissie married in 1946 at Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Sissie later worked for International Paper Company and co-owned Dan's Drug Store in Mobile for 40 years. Famous for her Green Punch Party, shrimp salad, world-class Coke floats, and other family favorites, Sissie built a warm and loving home where her family made their most cherished memories. A lifelong champion of hard work, frugality, and perseverance, Sissie taught her family these values at every opportunity. Of the innumerable life lessons she instilled, Sissie showed her family how to love by loving each of them unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Burnette Easley and Johnnie Grace Farrar Easley; brother, Dr. Charles Burnette Easley (Fran); and a sister, Mildred Easley deGruy (David). She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Daniel Asa Dennis Jr.; son, Daniel Asa Dennis III (Kim); daughter, Susan Grace Dennis Pitt (Roger) of Greensboro, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Daniel Asa Dennis IV (Maribeth), Joseph Stewart Dennis, Captain William Todd Pitt (Julie), Charles Lloyd Dennis (Jocelyn), Joseph Benjamin Pitt, Asa McCoy Pitt (Kelly), Samuel Burnette Dennis (Mae); five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Noël Rippy (Anderson) and Elizabeth Winfield Duvall; and two step-great-grandchildren.
