Beverly Baas Cox

Beverly Baas Cox, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away March 19, 2023, at the age of 85. She is predeceased by her infant daughter, Sheryl Lee Oliveira, her parents, Donald Baas, Helen Baas and LeeNora Baas, and brother, Gene Baas.

She is survived by her children Rodney (Holly) Oliveira, Luanne (Chris) Galanopoulos, Lisa Oliveira, Mike Oliveira and Bobby Oliveira; 10 grandchildren [Brandy (Richard) O’Bryant, Melissa (Erich) Zisman, Kim (Josh) Vanni, Loren (Adam) Nason, Skylar (Muqit) Oliveira-Khan; Danielle Oliveira; Nick (Ashley) Galanopoulos, Jake Galanopoulos; Jonathan (Danielle) Johnston and Alex (Jordan) Oliveira] and 14 great-grandchildren [Joseph Eardley and Caden Clark; Addison and Colton Zisman; Ethan, Kayleigh, Kennedie, and Kyleigh Vanni; Madelyn, Savanna, Penelope and Henry Nason; Landon Johnson and Sam Galanopoulos].

Beverly is also survived by a sister, Donna Jean (Tom) Avants, numerous nieces and nephews and stepchildren, Paula (Terry) Nelson, Dale Cox and their families.

The family would like to express their profound appreciation to the wonderful staff at Crowne Health Care (Navco Rd) who provided such compassionate care for Beverly in her final years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the March of Dimes, a charity near and dear to Beverly’s heart.

A visitation for Beverly will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605. Following the visitation will be a graveside from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605.
