Mary Jeanne Dobson

Mary Jeanne Dobson, age 60, of Mission Viejo, California passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Mary was born February 10, 1961 in Inglewood, CA to Norma and Edward Bryant. She was a graduate of North Torrance High School in 1979, and attended UCLA and Long Beach State where she received her BS and MS degrees.

Mary grew up in Torrance, CA in a large Italian-Irish family. Mary’s family was and always will be the most important thing in her life. She loved hosting people at her house and baking special treats. She enjoyed sharing stories with her loved ones and driving the boat on the Colorado River. Mary was a funny, intelligent, generous, and selfless person who cared deeply for all those who were a part of her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her adored parents and sister, Eileen Bryant, her grandparents, Irene and Bill Bryant, and Angelina D’Orsi. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Terry Dobson, her 3 beautiful children: Mikayla, Kyle, and Matthew Dobson, and her brothers and sisters: Eddie Bryant, Bill Bryant, Judi Bryant, and Nancy Perkins and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA, including a time of sharing from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on March 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 26872 Estanciero Dr., Mission Viejo, CA. Both the Visitation and Funeral will be available via LiveStream for those who cannot attend in person. The family requests a time of privacy following the Funeral Mass. The family welcomes donations to the Dobson Family College Fund as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
