Natividad was born in El Azucar, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Natividad Diaz Sr. and Bernarda Diaz Villarreal on September 3, 1939.
Natividad immigrated to Sanger, California in the early 1960's as a bracero where he worked as a farmworker, and soon after picked up his love of music - a love that continued until his last days. He began his norteno/conjunto music career as a drummer, music writer, and music manager with Los Regionales de Tejas alongside his cousin Tiburcio Saenz, then soon after joining his uncle Juan Benavidez with Los Vigilantes. In between his duties with Los Vigilantes, he joined Los Alegres De Teran for a few music tours, and later joined conjunto Los Cardenales who toured across the Southwest.
It was in Sanger where he met the love of his life, Teresa Diaz, where they married in June 6,1965, and remained married until his passing.
In 1985 he and his family relocated to the Rio Grande Valley, where he continued to commit his life to his family, his music, and his farmland right across the Rio Grande in El Azucar, Tamaulipas. He lived in Palmview, Texas since 1992, where he managed his band Los Vigilantes Del Bravo, recreating the original band Los Vigilantes founded by his uncle Juan Benavides. For over three decades Natividad and his band provided the beautiful sound of norteno/conjunto in cities across South Texas and Tamaulipas.
Natividad is preceded in death by his parents Natividad Diaz Sr, Bernarda Diaz, and his siblings Antonia Garcia Diaz, Enrique Diaz, Siria Rodriguez Diaz.
