She was born on January 16, 1946 in San Pedro Atlapulco, Mexico to Bruno Samano and Maria Rubio. She was 1 of 16 children.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, James Rubbie Cox; parents, Bruno and Maria; sisters, Gloria Samano Portillo, Paz Samano Portillo; and her brother, Roberto Samano.
She is survived by her daughters, Alejandra Rubi Cox-Franco and her husband John Robert Franco, Nina Angelina Garza and her husband Mario Garza; grandchildren, Joshua Derek Tate Franco, Eduardo I. Garza, Jonathan N. Garza, Jada Garza, Berdina Cox Hepner, and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel, with the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Valley Memorial Gardens.
