Gilberto Perez

In honor of our beloved friend, father, and loving husband Gilberto Perez will be missed dearly by many. He was an amazing and loving husband to his wife, Ana Patricia, and loving father to his three children, Samuel, Valerie and Victoria.

Gilberto was a Sergeant and proudly served his Country as an Airborne Ranger in the United States Army. He was a member of Homeland Security as a Seized Property Specialist, an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he served his community at St. Damian Food Pantry, a member of A Pair of Hands Ministry, where he proudly volunteered with the upkeep of the church and church grounds. He was also a member of the Jeremiah KC Knights of Columbus Council 5598 and 4th Degree, and a member of the English and Spanish ACTS.

Gilberto will be remembered by his humble and kind heart. Gilberto loved volunteering for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg, Tx., and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and barbecuing for family and friends. Gilberto will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Gilberto is survived by his wife, Ana Patricia, three children Samuel Perez, Valerie Perez, and Victoria Flores. Parents, Jose Antonio Perez and Concepcion Perez, and siblings Joe Anthony Perez; Ofelia Irene Venegas; Melissa Perez; and Sandra Lee Tellez. He was predeceased by his siblings Jaime Perez and Sylvia Perez.

The visitation will be held June 8th, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573 from 2-9 pm with a rosary being held from 7-8 pm. Church service will be held on June 9th, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215 N 16th Ave, Edinburg, TX from 11-12:30 pm. The internment will subsequently take place at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572 at 1 pm.
