Amelia was born in McAllen TX on December 31,1929 to parents Cipriano Ledesma and Maria Norberta Losoya.
Amelia is preceded in death by her parents and her spouse of 63 years Isidro G Quintanilla.
She is survived by her children, Maria Garcia (Jose Angel Jr.), George Quintanilla, Isidro Quintanilla Jr., Benjamin Quintanilla Sr. (Anaid), Santiago Quintanilla, Carlos Quintanilla, Maria Magdalena Quintanilla, Oralia Hess (Robert), Ramon Canuto Quintanilla (Rosa), Zenaida Quintanilla, Adelaida Guerra (Gilbert) and Jaime Quintanilla (Yesenia). Amelia also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Amelia loved to cook. The entire family would gather around for her famous tamales. She loved to have her hair done and get dressed up. On her free time, she would dance, do crossword puzzles, visit her favorite restaurants and most of all spend time with her family. Amelia was described as a devoted mother who very much loved every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Amelia will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
