August 18, 1986 - June 4, 2024
Lindsay Lupe Savin, beloved daughter of Bonnie and George Savin, was born on August 18, 1986, one minute before her identical twin sister, Lonnie Mira Savin, with whom she shared a unique and profound bond. From an early age, Lindsay was a devoted and loving sister to her brothers, Adam and David Savin.
Lindsay’s kind and caring nature shone brightly throughout her life, especially in her love for children and animals. She was actively engaged in various sports such as gymnastics, cheerleading, ice skating, and equestrian activities, all while excelling academically. Lindsay had an insatiable thirst for knowledge, often reading classic literature and regularly calling her mother to discuss her latest reads, current events, or to explore the endless "whys" that intrigued her.
Lindsay pursued higher education at UC Santa Cruz, where she embraced the vegetarian lifestyle and often marveled at the wildlife that approached her as she waited for the bus. Despite the distance, she remained close to her sister Lonnie, who was attending college just 75 miles away. Lindsay then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, subsequently joining the Savin & Bursk law firm.
Her passion for animals and the environment was unwavering. Lindsay found joy in outdoor walks, everything related to Disney, and drawing enchanting pictures of mermaids, fairies, and other whimsical characters. She delighted in filling her home with beautiful, shiny objects and enjoyed listening to educational podcasts.
Lindsay is survived by her parents, Bonnie and George; her siblings, Adam, David, Lonnie and their spouses, Caitlin, Maital and Evan; her nieces and nephews, Atticus, Maverick, Benjamin, Ronnie and Carter; her step-sister, Sandie and her husband Brian; her grandmother, Faye Bursk; her aunts, Karen, Loren, and Sherry; and her cousins, Tara, Erin, and Michele. She is also mourned by countless extended family members and friends.
Lindsay’s loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished.
