Leah Buckler

Born July 31, 1922, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Buckler moved to Laguna Woods in 1988 with her husband, Wilford “Bucky” Buckler, of 55 years, who preceded her in death.

"Tía Leah"/"Bubbe"/"Gram"/"Mommo" enjoyed spending time with her children, Elaine Lewis who preceded her in death, and son-in-law Bill; son Larry Buckler and daughter-in-law Mary; daughter Anne Fisher and former son-in-law David Fisher; son Mitch Buckler and daughter-in-law Deb, eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Leah was the matriarch of a large family and mother and grandmother to many more than just her own. She loved to travel, play cards, and mostly be surrounded by her many loved ones. A strong and fiercely independent woman who loved caring for her family and friends, her infectious smile lit up rooms, and her love radiated everything she knew.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 25, at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar.

The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Care, who provided invaluable care in Leah’s last months.
