Crystal Danielle Jansen

With great sadness, the family of Crystal Danielle Jansen, of Mission, British Columbia passed away peacefully after a 5-year battle with Cancer on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Aged 39 years, she was born October 27, 1983, at Brooks Alberta to Stanley and Karen (Frape) Pinnell.

Crystal is survived by her husband David Jansen, children Gabrielle, Levi and Desirae, sisters Alana Pinnell, Natalia Wieland and Kiara Montgomery, brothers Dustin and Tori Pinnell, and 8 nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her father Stanley Pinnell.

A celebration of life will be held on October 14, 2023, at 1:00pm at Ruskin Community Hall, 28395 96 Ave, Maple Ridge.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the following causes that would mean something to Crystal. The Canadian Cancer Society, AutismBC or the Food Bank.

Crystal was born in Brooks Alberta, moving to Saskatchewan when she was 1 month old. She moved to British Columbia in 1989 and lived there for the remainder of her life. She married David Jansen and had 3 children with him. Eventually buying a house in Mission, British Columbia where the family still lives.

Crystal had an artist's soul and loved to spend her spare time creating and baking for family and friends. She loved boating & camping with her family and had a favorite beach spot to visit on Stave Lake that the family fondly refers to as Dragon's Den Bay. She was active in volunteering at her children's elementary school and eventually became a noon hour supervisor at Cherry hill Elementary school. She was dedicated to her family and the well-being of others. If you have been lucky enough to cross paths with this Angel, you will already know. She will be greatly missed by many.
