Jack "Rick" Francis Patrick Jr.

Lovingly and commonly known as Rick by his family, friends, coworkers and the many he touched throughout his life, Rick was truly a native Charlottean. Rick worked for his father-in-law at Davis Tile & Marble for many years before opening his own business, Precision Tile & Marble. He was a master tile setter with uncanny attention to detail. When he wasn’t skillfully laying tile, he was masterfully delivering some of the best jokes always with a straight face and undeniable delivery.

Also known as “Pappy” by his group of Harley biker friends; Pappy loved the friendships and riding for hours. When Rick wasn’t riding his Harley, he spent happy moments with his grandsons, his girlfriend Lynn, his closest friend Dale — always with a passion for fishing and metal detecting.

Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Lynn Davis; and father, Jack Patrick Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Maxine Patrick; his children, Michael Ryan Patrick (Marken) and Kristy Patrick Penley (Tony); grandchildren, Charles Connor Patrick, Jacob Cody, and Levi Penley; his brother, Kelly Patrick; and his sister, Wendy Patrick and her children, Misty and Brittany.

A private celebration of life for Rick will be held at a later date with close family and friends.
