Louise Margaret Riedel

Born to Oscar and Anna Thomas in Chicago, Illinois on April 4, 1923; passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Riedel; grandson, Bruce Horseman; granddaughter, Julie Horseman; granddaughter, Shannon Arvis; grandson, Howard Touges; son-in-law, William Roberts; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Arvis.

She is survived by children, Marge (Ray) Sands of Sauk Village, IL, Mary Roberts of Park Rapids, MN, Fran (Jim) Salberg of Crystal, MN, Frank (Janet) of Andover, MN, Pat (John) Lyke of Columbia Heights, MN, Elenor of Fergus Falls, MN, Teresa (Tony) Lopez of Tucson, AZ; special extended family, Pete Lyke, Paul Bratager, and Lynne LaKosky; grandchildren, Dan, Mike, Ray, Cindy, Jason, Jolynn, Dale, Leann, Shane, Christina, Gina, Jessy, John, Joey, Christopher; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Louise went back to school at the age of 40 years and earned her college degree in social work. She retired as a social worker. She married Norman and spent several years traveling; including places like Germany, Chicago, Arizona, Florida and North and South Dakota. She enjoyed mysteries, dinners, and cruises.

A Memorial Service is scheduled on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Sunset Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Boulevard Northeast, Minneapolis with a visitation 1-hour prior.

Interment at Sunset Cemetery.
