Vera P. Scandaglia

Vera P. Scandaglia, age 90, of Ridge, New York, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and later moved to Long Island, where she built a rich and fulfilling life.

Vera is survived by her devoted husband, Frank, with whom she shared many years of cherished companionship. She is also survived by her loving children, Gary Scandaglia and Debra Ogden (Stephen), who meant the world to her. Vera was a proud grandmother to Kaitlyn and Krista, and a doting great-grandmother to Serafina, who brought immense joy into her life.

Vera dedicated herself to her family and community throughout her life. She found great fulfillment in her work, having proudly served at Macy's, where her warmth and dedication made a lasting impact.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764. A committal service will follow on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792, where Vera will be laid to rest.

Vera's kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, as they remember her fondly and celebrate a life well-lived.
