Jerome Hanus

Jerry was preceded in death to Patricia Hanus, the love of his life and wife of 62 years; sons, Steven and Tod (Anthony), and brother, Joseph. He is survived by children, Donna (Tony), Michael (Marie), and Dianne (Mike); and daughter-in-law Marcia; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Nicole), Sara (Billy), Craig (Mhari), Brian (Jaclyn), Steven, Michael, Kevin, Katie, Andrew, and Cameron; great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jr., (Savannah), Bryanna, Ethan, Josilyn, Alexa, Leila, Samantha Jo, Lilyana-Mae, and great-great grandchildren Adelyn and Waylon.

Jerry was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. He had a strong work ethic and a tremendous will to live. He loved Baseball, Soccer, and Football, and the beach. Jerry considered his community at Kings Isle to be a second “family”, valuing his close friends, who he kept active with, playing cards several times a week and bowling. Jerry was a veteran of WWII.

Please join us as we celebrate his life on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anselm’s Church, located at 4 Woodville Rd, Shoreham, NY. 11776. Funeral services will immediately follow at nearby Calverton National Cemetery.
