Beloved father, grandfather, and husband. It is with humble hearts and faith in God’s plan that we announce the passing of Anthony Loiacono, a devoted husband, cherished father, beloved grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord, on Saturday, December 7th at the age of 81.Born on April 7th, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, Anthony lived a life devoted to his faith and his family. A man of unwavering faith and quiet strength, he sought to live each day as a reflection of God’s love and grace. His steadfast belief in Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God” served as his compass, shaping his decisions, nurturing his relationships, and guiding his daily walk with the Lord.
Anthony was an early riser who started each day with intention and purpose, always seeking to serve others with kindness and devotion. He loved studying and reading his Bible, finding inspiration and solace in God’s Word. His single desire was to serve the Lord with all his heart and to let his light shine through his actions and love.
His passions included coaching baseball and cheering for the New York Yankees. He also loved playing a competitive game of chess and tending to the meticulous care of his lawn. Watching his sons play lacrosse from behind the camcorder was one of his greatest joys; he was their biggest fan, cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm. Anthony also had a deep love and connection with animals and found joy in the simple blessings of life, like a scalding cup of hot coffee.
As a devoted husband, Anthony shared 59 beautiful years with his wife, Linda Loiacono, whom he cherished and loved deeply. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter, rooted in faith. As a father to Catherine, Daniel, Joseph, David and Sarah, he was a source of wisdom, guidance, and encouragement.
Anthony also received great enjoyment watching his grandchildren grow and thrive. A man of integrity, his grandchildren, Caleb, Caitlyn, Andrew, Noah, Abigail, Annalyn, Sophia, Joshua, Anthony, and Alexa were his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
One of Anthony’s favorite scriptures is John 15: 5. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." This verse reflects Anthony’s steadfast faith and the way he lived his life, deeply rooted in God’s love and grace. By abiding in the Lord, he bore the fruits of kindness, compassion, and selfless devotion to his family. His legacy reminds us of the strength and purpose found in staying connected to Christ, the true vine, from whom all good things flow.
Although he will be missed dearly, we rejoice in knowing that Anthony has entered into eternal rest in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony to God’s love, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A visitation for Anthony will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764.
