Anne Marie O'Connor-Welby of Calverton, NY (formerly of St. James, NY and Smithtown, NY) passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020. Retired 4th grade elementary school teacher from Trinity Regional School, East Northport, NY and St. Hugh of Lincoln School, Huntington, NY. Former Pre-Canna leader and CCD teacher at Sts. Philip and James R.C. Church, volunteer at the Stony Brook Museums. She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of 14 years to Patrick Welby and 39 years to the late John L. O’Connor. Loving mother of John O’Connor and his wife Lisette, Doug O’Connor and his wife Amy, the late Rob O’Connor and his wife Regina and Brian O’Connor and his wife Doreen. Dear step-mother of Steven Welby and his wife Kim Villa, Mike Welby and his wife Chris, Colman Welby and his wife Susie and Peter Welby. Cherished grandma of Tim O’Connor and his husband Frankie, Kim Tande and her husband Aaron, Rob O’Connor and his wife Kristin, Chrissy O’Connor, Cameron O’Connor, Kaitlyn Welby, Olivia O’Connor, Tori O’Connor, Megan Welby, Briana O’Connor, Sean Welby, Dylan Welby, Bradan Welby, Nolan O’Connor, Natalie Welby and Claire Welby. Adored GiGi of Emelia and Simon. Dear sister of Pris Manzo and her husband Gene, Charles Bruno and his wife Rosemary and Fran Lamele and her husband Dom. Adored aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. Visitation Tuesday, Feb 11, 2020, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Riverhead, NY. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hauppauge, NY.
