Peggy Ringwood Sine

1930 - 2017

Our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Peggy was born July 13, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Claude and Ihrma Ringwood. Her father’s work took their family to Evanston, Wyoming where they lived for several years. They moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where she lived until she graduated in 1948 from Twin Falls High School. While in high school she participated in everything from the school play to the softball team and the downhill ski team.

After high school, she moved back to Salt Lake City and lived with her grandparents. It didn’t take long before she got a job at the State Capital in the office of the Utah State Tax Commission. Not too long after she met the love of her life, Paul Sine. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 17, 1952. They raised Saint Bernard dogs and at one time had two litters totaling 22 puppies to chase around. She and Paul would take the dogs up to the mountains as often as they could. They spent their time snow skiing, boating, water skiing, and hiking. After quite a few years of raising dogs, they figured they had enough practice and were ready for parenthood. Chris was born and they were thrilled. They loved being parents and got him on skis as soon as he could walk. After a few years they wanted another addition to their family and adopted Jennifer. Family was extremely important to Peggy and Paul; they were either with in-laws, nieces and nephews or her parents. Peggy’s brother, Ronald Ringwood and wife Susan visited often from Washington with their children which was always fun.

Peggy enjoyed going to Wendover with her friends and playing the slot machines. She would use her “special technique” of pounding on the button so hard that after awhile she ended up in a sling. That still didn’t slow her down. Nothing could keep her from being active and spending time with her family and many friends. She loved to have fun, music, and dancing the night away.

Peggy worked as an elementary school crossing guard at Morningstar Elementary for 15 years and adored her kids. She watched so many grow up until they moved on to junior high school.

Peggy was an accomplished artist, writer, and self-published author of several books. Some of these books have really touched the lives of others.

She had a wicked sense of humor and a quick wit and nothing made her happier than to bring a laugh out of others.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul Sine and her parents Claude & Ihrma Ringwood. She is survived by her brother Ronald (Susan) Ringwood in Washington, children Chris (Kerrie) Sine, Jennifer (Todd) Winterroth and grandchildren Matt & Azure. Bye my Lovebug!
