Nickolas Casey Neumeyer, our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend tragically passed away on the evening of May 17, 2023. His family is devastated and heartbroken with his sudden passing. In our hearts, Nick will forever be remembered for his big bear hugs, tender heart, handsome smile, playful teasing, mischievous laugh, and his gentle nature. He loved gaming, all things candy (especially Jolly Ranchers), and was a prolific milk drinker, who enjoyed a full-to-the-brim glass of milk. He was always the first to say “sorry” in order to make things better.
Nick was born on a still and quiet morning at 1:17 AM on May 9, 2007 in Salt Lake City to Casey and Nichole Neumeyer. Nick’s dad was beyond exhilarated to have a son! When Nick was barely walking, his dad strapped him to a snowboard, created snow hills in the backyard and taught him how to snowboard. Nick and his Dad also built a gaming computer together. They enjoyed driving around to get all the parts and putting everything together- just the two of them. He was the shadow to his big sister, Karley and wanted to be involved in anything she was doing, whether she liked it or not. His little brother, Caden will miss “intense” wrestling matches with Nick, nerf gun wars, and building lego set after lego set.
When Nick was 9 years old, his family moved to Pacifica, California, where he enjoyed playing in the ocean and exploring the coastal area. After his family moved back to Utah he lived in Sugarhouse, attending Highland Park Elementary, Hillside Middle School, Centerville Jr. High (for one semester), and Highland High School.
We will honor his memory by cherishing the moments we shared with him. We are eternally grateful to have known and loved him. He will be in our hearts forever. Nickolas is survived by his parents, older sister Karley, little brother Caden, grandparents Kyle and Christine Page, and Rick and Linda Neumeyer, great grandparents Jim and Cheryl Holt, as well as many beloved close aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. As a family, we thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support. We are grateful for all the messages and donations we have received. Learning that he was a good friend has meant the world to us.
Everyday at school drop off Nick would always make sure to always say, “Bye, Mom love you.” Mom and Dad love you too, Buddy.
