Nathan Bruce Barlow passed away on Monday October 14, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on November 8, 1939 to Nathan Bernus Barlow and Mary Elizabeth Ott Barlow in Washington, D.C. He graduated from the University of Utah in Chemical Engineering, earning his Bachelor's, Master's and PhD. He later attended Purdue University Executive Master's program earning a Master's in Business Administration.
Nathan served a full time proselyting mission in Auckland, New Zealand. He loved the Maori people dearly and spoke of his mission often. He also served a family history mission for several years. He was passionate about his own family history and tried to advance it as much as possible. Nathan served the Lord faithfully in whatever he was asked to do. Nathan enjoyed golfing, fixing things, always preferring to repair rather than replace. He loved to travel and through his employment had the opportunity to visit many countries around the world; Japan, Malaysia and India being among his favorites. He loved each of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply.
He was married for 53 years to his sweetheart Karen Ruth Wallin Barlow. He is survived by his wife Karen and by his children, Bryn (Eric) Seymour, Elizabeth (Kevin) Harris, Matthew (Sissel) Barlow, Melissa (Nate) Ritchie, Jennifer (Andy) Epperson, Natalie Barlow, Rebecca (Jared) Ashby, 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers (Stephen (Zoya) Barlow, Jeff (Diane) Barlow, Bret (Beki) Barlow and Clay Barlow.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents Bernus Barlow and Mary Barlow and by his brother Alan Barlow.
Services will be Saturday, October 26th 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. Interment will be immediately following services.
