Lois was born to Lewis Norman Fackrell and Amanda Dance Fackrell in Thomas Idaho. She was the youngest of six children. She was raised on a dairy farm where she learned about the value of hard work, integrity, kindness, and charity to her fellows.
When she was a little girl, she wanted desperately to be able to read. She would pull books off the shelf and squint at them, trying hard to read, but unfortunately, no one had the time to teach her. She eventually learned and greatly enjoyed reading in her life. She and Jack also wrote several family history books.
Lois married the love of her life, William Jack Worlton on June 1, 1951 in the Logan Temple. After finishing school, Jack and Lois moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico where they welcomed three daughters to their family.
They enjoyed living in Los Alamos and participated in many outdoor activities. Lois was a part of the community and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1990 they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Over the course of her life Lois saw many changes in the world. She was able to travel internationally. They were able to enjoy seeing fascinating places and meet interesting people.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Jack Worlton. She is survived by her three daughters Kathryn Smith (Brad), Mary Swenson (David), and Janice Hill (Doug), 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
